15-Minute Makeovers with Friends
Meet my friend Parker and her mom, Terri. Both are beautiful inside and out, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t fun to change up your style every now and then, especially with a little help from your friends.
For Parker, we took a simple top she owned and paired it with different bottoms to give her some cool day and night looks.
Parker’s cargo pants are from Brandy Melville; Khaki jacket from Zara; Black tulle skirt from Amazon; Old J.Crew necklace from my mom; Hair cut by The Barberess.
TERRI’S 15-MINUTE MAKEOVER
We put Terri in an Anthropologie dress and belt, something much more feminine and colorful than she usually wears! We really wanted to try something dark purple because it tends to look really good on other fair-skinned red heads. It is actually a super low-cut dress in the front, but we ended up turning it around and we all loved how it looked, especially once we added the belt to make it look less like a dress you might wear to work, and more like one you might wear to a cocktail party or a summer wedding. We put some light make-up on her… including black eyeliner from the center of her lid and a little out, in traditional French fashion, to make her eyes look bigger, and we used a Mineral Fusion Brun eyeliner pencil as eyebrow filler (we used the same pencil as subtle eyeliner on Parker), blush from NARS, and a lipstick color made by mixing a few shades that we all had on hand! Sweet brass bracelets were handmade by Jessie Morrow of Material Wit.
MY MAKEOVER…
Parker and I used some of the same pieces we used in Parker’s makeover and hand-me-downs to create some makeover looks for me, too. Lipsticks are from Origins’ Flower Fusion line. Used brown leather belt from Sequel Used Clothing Shop.
